Leading construction consultants MAC has announced the expansion of its Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) team with the appointment of Senior Fire and Health & Safety (H&S) Compliance Consultant, Paul Allsopp, who while being employed in the firm’s Sheffield office has a UK wide mandate.
Paul has over 20 years of experience working in fire risk management and H&S and will be delivering a range of related risk management services to MAC’s intensive client base.
His appointment will allow the firm to expand on its fire safety and H&S Compliance offering.
Services will include, but are not limited to, fire risk assessments, compartmentation and fire door audits, Fire Engineering as well as H&S management and compliance (including GAP analysis).
Being recognised professionally by several organisations, Paul is a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE), Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) and the Association of Project Safety.
As part of Paul’s previous experience, he has worked on projects outside the United Kingdom and has worked on behalf of the Falkland Islands Government.
Commenting on the appointment, Richard Dryden, Director of SHE at MAC said: “We are really pleased to be able to recruit a new member of staff that will help us expand our current offering at MAC.
“This year we are focussing on expanding the SHE department and since the start of the new year we have brought on two Senior staff members who will help deliver our new business strategy.”
Paul added: “I’m excited to start working closely with Richard and the wider SHE team to be able to identify new service offerings that we can provide to existing and new clients, helping to develop the successful team.
“A key part of my role will be training existing staff members to be able to deliver specialist fire safety services.”
